Our Trip to the Zoo

On Friday April 18 our family went to the Los Angeles Zoo.

The weather was perfect. All the animals were out, and some even showed off for us.

Our son Cobi, who is nine years old, wanted to try his hand at photography. He took the pictures below. On the left is the duck pond. It was hard to get a good picture because the ducks kept moving, but we think he did a pretty good job. On the right is "Reggie the alligator," one of Cobi's favorite animals at the zoo. Below is a seal. Cobi waited and waited for the seal to come out of the water so he could take his picture. Finally when we were just starting to leave the seal jumped out and Cobi snapped the camera. Perfect Timing!

Lauren, who is almost four, insisted on seeing an elephant. The zoo was kind of a maze and we kept missing it. When we finally found the elephant she stared for a moment and was ready to leave. She insists that it was her favorite, but we don't think she was very impressed by it.

Cole, who is five, loved all the animals. His favorites were the monkeys, all varieties. Connor, who is 18 months loved all the birds. As long as there was a bird around he was a happy baby. Lucky for us there were birds flying all over the zoo!
