Welcome to Baby Carson!
Carson Douglas weighed 6lbs 8oz
19 inches long
Carson came by way of emergency c-section. We discovered that his umbilical cord was very thin and with each contraction his oxygen was cut off. He was scheduled to be induced about 12 days early and it was a blessing in disguise. The doctor said that even all my Braxton-Hicks were causing him distress. We are glad that he arrived without any injuries or illness. He is a healthy, happy baby.
Our hospital stay was very quiet. The kids were not allowed to come see us. (Flu season brings a lot of restrictions at the hospital.) However when we got home they were more than ready to see their new baby brother. He has been kissed and hugged more times than I can count!
Here is Carson at 1 week old, wide -eyed and content watching everything going on around him.
Although I am tired and still a little sore I know that I have been greatly blessed that Carson has come to our family. I am extremely grateful for modern medicine, good doctors, kind nurses, and well equipped hospitals- all of which I have relied on so much!
Welcome to the family Carson. We love you soooo much!

What a sweetie! Glad you are home and a happy family together....best wishes!!
He is SOOO cute! All of your kids are very cute and he definately fits in. I am sorry that you had to have a c-section. That was my very least favorite part of all my kids births, blech. I hope you have a good and quick recovery, take it easy and don't push yourself, and I recommend no vacuuming for a few weeks too, I always made that mistake.
Congrats Melissa and David! We're so excited for you. What a cutie he is! I am so happy that he came healthy-what a scare that would have been! Hope you get to feeling better.
He isn't just cute...he is Gorgeous! Congrats...doesn't it feel fabulous to NOT be pregnant anymore----even with the recovery?

What a beauitiful baby! Congratulations to all of the Langfords.
Congrats, Melissa! Im so glad you and baby are happy and healthy. We're happy to take Carson's onezies off your hands when he has outgrown them:) Thanks for all of your advice. Its good to get different opinions and its helpful to know what some babies like and what others don't. Im praying all mine will like and dislike the same things, but I aint holding my breath!
Dear Mel and Dave,
Another beautiful and healthy grandchild added to our family. Well done both of you! He seems alot like his mother was when she was born, always quietly looking around at everything(except when he's hungry of course). Hope he gets settled in and things just keep getting better and better for your family. We are definitely proud of you all, up there in Clovis.
Love, Mom in Oxnard
