Just recently Carson was blessed. In our church babies are not baptised or christened. Instead they are given a special blessing. David was joined by both of Carson's grandpas, Uncle Neil, Uncle Dan, and Uncle Doug. They all stood in a circle of love around Carson as David prayed on his behalf. He blessed Carson that he might have a long healthy life, serve a mission, get married in the temple, and my favorite -patience. I figured patience would be needed in a family with five kids, however David said that it was much more than that. David's mother Adelaide is extremely patient. She is also thought of as the peace maker of the family. David felt that Carson will have a similar disposition.
We are so blessed to have Carson in our family. It was a struggle to get him here, but that only makes me appreciate him even more. His little smiles just warm our hearts. His sweet coos bring us hope for the future. He is a bundle of joy from head to toe, and he is ours!
