Painting The Closet

David and I have decided to remodel our closet. Why
the closet? Because we need more space. We want to
change our hall closet into a food storage closet. So we are putting a closet organizer in our bedroom closet to fit all the linens from the hall closet. So after we gutted our closet we painted primer on the walls. The kids all wanted to help. So we gave them all a brush and let them paint thier names on the walls. Connor thought he was so big! He took the longest turn because he wouldn't give up the paint brush. He got paint on his fingers (that we still can't get off) and everytime he sees it he just tells me "Paint...Me Paint!"

Cobi wanted to use a roller, but we weren't set up
for that yet. So he just posed for a picture , painted a
few strokes and left. Cole wanted to use a roller to but
still enjoyed painting with the brush. David showed him how to hold the brush correctly and Cole did a great job. Lauren was happy to help too. It was actually her idea. She had the activity for FHE and she choose painting the closet. It is great to have so many good helpers!

They are all so cute, but that little red head has a special place in my heart !! And I can so believe she could paint the closet herself !!!

It's fun to share the experience with them....we have some fun memories of painting bedrooms together. Paint in the hair that stays til the next haircut....so......did you finish the closet project? is it filled with food???? can't wait to see it. maybe it will inspire me to organize mine in a nice new meaningful way.

The closet is mostly done, just a few touch ups here and there. Hopefully by the weekend everything will be done. Filling the food storage closet will take a little more time.
