Lauren just had her birthday. Unfortunately since mommy is still sick, we had to keep the party small. We invited our cousins to come over and they helped us make our little get together feel like an official party for Lauren.
We had a fun party game of "Don't Eat Pete." Lauren loves this game because you get to eat M&M's while you play.
Then Lauren unwrapped her presents. Would you believe that this was her favorite gift? Where is the big smile? The enthusiasm? I don't know if she was just annoyed that we wanted to take her picture or what, but there were no smiles even though she did like the presents.
This was the closest we got to a smile.
Finally, we had cake and ice cream. Lauren loves anything that she can decorate herself. So we let her decorate her cake all by herself.
When we brought out the cake, she smiled (well sort of). She was very proud of her work.

She is so big now! I love the job she did on her cake, it truely is beautiful. We are big fans of don't eat Pete too, we sometimes play with mini marsmallows. I am so excited for you to find out what the baby is. When are we going to see you again?
