Nothing Like A Little Sugar Before Bed
Tonight we made a gingerbread house for FHE. We have done this for the past 3 or 4 years. The kids absolutely love it and always eat more candy than gets put on the house! We bought the kit at Costco. It came with a lot of candy and even coconut - but if you notice the coconut did not make it on the house. We ran out of frosting, possibly because the kids kept trying to eat it or maybe because it took extra to make the roof stay on. The house was very cute, but did not fit together as nice as we would have liked. Either way we all had a fun time decorating our little gingerbread house.
Connor and Lauren each holding a bag of candy - one for me, one for the house!

how fun! It looks very cute! When I was little we made candy houses every year...what a fun tradition!
I love it. My mom got a village somewhere and the kids can't wait because they each get a building to make. Oh, and the sitting on the table, be grateful they aren't standing.
What a fun activity...what wonderful memories you are making...saw Cole get his award yesterday...I'm impressed!!!
cute! We do ours Christmas eve and it's always fun. It's not holiday decorating with out kids on the table :)
