This year when my kids asked me what I wanted for Christmas I decided that I did not want them to buy me anything, but instead I wanted them to use their talents to give me something more worthwhile. Cole loves to sing, so I asked him to sing me a Christmas song. He sang Away in a Manger for me. I wonder if the angels who sang of Christ's birth sounded anything like that.
Cobi started playing the clarinet this past September, so I asked him to play me a Christmas song on his clarinet. He played Jingle Bells. He doesn't think that it sounds very good, but for only playing for four months I think it is great!
Jumping off of furniture and creating mischief wasn't much of a gift from Connor (even though that does seem to be his talent) so he settled for singing me his favorite Christmas song - Jingle Bells.
Lauren's talent is drawing. She loves to sit and color for hours. So I asked her to draw me a picture of Joseph, Mary, and Baby Jesus.
Thanks to technology and blogspot I can enjoy my gifts for years to come and share them with you. Merry Christmas!
