Walking Pneumonia

What a crazy week. Cobi was sick over the weekend so, I missed church on Sunday. That was a bummer, because I wanted to see the reaction of everyone - including my husband - when he was called to his new job at church. He is the new Gospel Doctrine teacher, it is going to bless our family with a new level of scripture study and knowledge. By Tuesday Cobi was feeling better, but Cole was sick.
Off to the Doctors we went. We were just there last week for an ear infection, but I didn't think he was getting better. In fact when he woke up Tuesday crying that his head and ear hurt I knew something was not right. Sure enough, the doctor confirmed that his ear was worse, and instead of just one ear being infected he had both ears infected and a sinus infection. If that wasn't enough off to the radiology dept we went for a chest x-ray. Fortunately it was just walking pneumonia and he did not need to be admitted to the hospital. However he does have to stay home from school all week and rest. I thought it might be hard to entertain him all week, but really he just rests. He lays in bed and plays his Nintendo DS, watches movies or sleeps. He is feeling a little better today. He is smiling and giggles a little. It is hard for me to see him so lethargic. He is usually a little ray of sunshine. But I guess even the sun gets covered with clouds once in a while. Hopefully with all the medicine and rest this storm will end soon and the sun will shine bright again.

I think he will do a great job !! Our ward has always had awesome Gospel Doctrine teachers. I always hate it when my kid is sick, it is so hard to see them like that even when they're 22 !!!

I wonder what we did before the invention of "DS"...I am glad that he is feeling a little better, it is awful when they are sick. David and I are excited to hear your David's lesson on Sunday...I am sure it will be great!

Oh man, I am sorry. I hate sick kids! You feel so bad for them, and on top of that, you can't get anything done! Here's to hoping he is better soon. Good luck to David-no envy here. :)
