Connor Escapes!

Yesterday the kids were playing outside in the backyard. The gate has a padlock on it and we were confident that the kids could not get out into the front yard. Boy were we wrong! Connor pulled the metal pin (for lack of a better word) out of the cement. Then he was able to push the gate doors forward enough that he could squeeze through into the front yard. Luckily Cobi and Cole were there with him, chased after him and brought him back into the backyard. Someone once told me that I need to get a dog to follow him around - I'm thinking that might be a good idea! Connor constantly finds ways to accomplish the unthinkable! He has figured out almost every child safety lock in the house. He can unlock any door and climb any cupboard. Someday I'm sure that he will use his talent for good, but for now I think I need to invest in some sort of child locating system. perhaps I can get one of those house arrest things that goes on your ankle so that when he is somewhere he shouldn't an alarm will go off. That would be very useful! A watchdog would be good too although I'm not sure it could keep up with Connor, maybe I could get 2 watch dogs and they could take turns. O.K. I guess Connor is not that bad. I thought he was doing better until the fence ordeal happened. We really do love him. He is always happy and smiling and jumping up and down. He brings a lot of love, laughter and energy into our family - sometimes it is just a little too much! :)
